Anchored price (Croatia)

Show the "sidrena cijena" required for Croatian consumers — the regular price each product had on a fixed reference date — next to the current price.

From 1 October 2026, every trader selling to consumers in Croatia must show, next to each current price, the regular price that applied on a fixed reference date — the sidrena cijena (anchored price), introduced by the Croatian government's decision published in Narodne novine 101/2026. It applies to all products, discounted or not, and to webshops as well as physical stores.

This is a Croatian requirement, not part of the EU Omnibus Directive. Omnibus Owl keeps it switched off by default. Turn it on only if you sell to Croatian consumers; nothing changes for other stores.

What the law asks for

  • The reference date is 10 September 2026 for most products and all services. Food, drinks, cosmetics, cleaning and household products keep the earlier date of 2 May 2025.

  • The anchored price is the regular price that applied on that day — before any promotion, discount or conditional offer.

  • Products added after the reference date show their first listing price, together with the date they were first offered.

  • No exact wording is prescribed. Something like Sidrena cijena (10. 9. 2026.): 45,00 € is enough.

  • Traders with a website must also publish a daily machine-readable price list (.csv or .xml). Omnibus Owl does not generate that file — this feature covers the on-page display only.

Turning it on

  1. Open Omnibus Lowest Price → Settings and scroll to Anchored price (Croatia).

  2. Switch Enable anchored price on. Check the Reference date (default 2026-09-10) and change it if your products fall under the earlier date.

  3. Save. Omnibus Owl now fills the anchored price of every variant in the background:

    • from the regular price recorded on the reference date in its price history, or

    • for variants created in Shopify after the reference date, from their first recorded price, dated when it was first recorded.

    • Variants that already existed on the reference date but have no price recorded from that day are left empty. This is the normal case when you installed Omnibus Owl after the reference date: the app does not know what the product cost back then, and it never guesses — see Filling the gaps.

  4. When the fill finishes, the Settings card shows a summary: how many variants were filled from the reference date, how many from their first listing, how many were kept because you set them by hand, and how many are still empty.

  5. Add the Anchored Price block to your product template. Once the setting is saved, the Settings card shows whether the block is already in your theme; if not, Add block in theme editor opens the theme editor with the block placed for you — save the theme and you are done. (The block is also listed on the Dashboard's App Blocks Status card while the feature is on, and only offered in the theme editor while it is on.) It uses the same padding, font-size and colour controls as the Past Lowest Price block.

Changing the reference date later re-runs the fill for history-derived values; Recalculate all from history does the same on demand. Prices you set by hand or imported are never overwritten by these runs.

What shoppers see

The block shows one line on every product page, discounted or not — for example:

Sidrena cijena (10.09.2026): 45,00 €

  • It follows the shopper's market and currency: anchored prices are stored per country, like price history.

  • It re-renders on variant switch without a page reload, like the lowest price widget.

  • The date format is the one from the Settings tab.

  • The wording is editable per language on the Languages tab — see Wording.

  • It disappears automatically if you switch the feature off, and while the app is switched off (expired trial).

Managing anchored prices on the Dashboard

With the feature on, the variants table on the Dashboard tab gains an Anchored Price column showing the value, its date and a Manual or Imported badge where applicable. Select rows to use these actions:

Action
Selection
What it does

Set anchored price

1 variant

Opens a dialog to enter the anchored price for the selected market and its date. Also offers Fill from price history and Remove.

Recalculate anchored price from history

any

Recomputes the selected variants from their price history — this does overwrite hand-set and imported values.

Clear anchored price

any

Removes the anchored price from the selected variants.

Setting a price for one market keeps the values already stored for other markets. The date applies to the whole variant.

Filling the gaps

Variants that had no recorded price on the reference date show no anchored price until you provide one. Enter the regular price the product had on the reference date — the one before any discount — and leave the date as the reference date. The fastest way for many variants is the Import & export tab:

  1. Export anchored prices. The file lists every variant and market; rows without an anchored price have empty price cells.

  2. Fill in the blanks in a spreadsheet (and correct any values you disagree with).

  3. Import the file back. Rows whose price is still empty are ignored, so an untouched export changes nothing.

See Bulk import & export for the exact columns.

Wording

The Languages tab shows an Anchored price label field per storefront language while the feature is on. Default Croatian wording: Sidrena cijena ({{ anchored_price_date }}): {{ anchored_price }}.

Placeholder
Filled with

{{ anchored_price }}

The price in your store's HTML without currency money format

{{ anchored_price_with_currency }}

The price in your store's HTML with currency money format

{{ anchored_price_date }}

The anchored date (reference date, or first-listing date) in your Date format

Placing the block manually in theme code

Like the lowest price widget, the anchored price can be placed anywhere by adding its element to your theme code:

The Price Radar app embed must be enabled, and the element inherits the surrounding text style.
