Price history in the admin

View, add, edit, and correct a variant's price history directly on its detail page inside the Shopify admin.

Omnibus Owl adds a Price history card directly to each variant's detail page in the Shopify admin. It's the place to review and, when needed, correct the exact prices Omnibus Owl has on record.

Adding the card

On any product, open a variant and add the Price history block to the variant details page (via Add block / the customise menu). Once pinned, it appears every time you open that variant.

What the card shows

  • Market selector — a dropdown of your active markets/countries. Price history is shown for the selected market (your primary market first).

  • Lowest price (last 30 days) — the reference price for the selected market and the date it occurred, or a Current badge if today's price is the lowest. Shows a clear empty state when there's no data yet.

  • Price history list — every recorded price point, newest first, with date, time, and price per market. Points you added yourself carry a Manual badge.

What you can do

Action
Notes

Add entry

Record a historical price point (date, time, price). The date must be in the past — this keeps manual entries display-only so they never become the "current" price.

Edit entry

Adjust a recorded price point.

Delete entry

Remove an incorrect point.

Changes save immediately and update the storefront widget's reference price for that variant.

When to use it

  • Backfill prices from before you installed the app. Since tracking only starts at installation, you can manually enter earlier prices to complete a variant's 30-day history. For many variants at once, use bulk import & export instead.

  • Correct a mistake — for example, a test price change you don't want counted as the lowest price.

  • Verify compliance at a glance for a specific product before running a sale.

Because manual entries are always dated in the past and flagged as manual, editing history is safe: it won't trigger a false price-drop/increase Flow event or affect automatic price-change detection.

The card is available in 20+ languages and follows the market/currency context you select.
