Shopify Flow

Trigger Shopify Flow automations whenever a variant's price drops or increases — plus a ready-made template.

Omnibus Owl integrates with Shopify Flow so you can automate anything that should happen when a product's price changes. It provides two triggers and one ready-made template.

Triggers

Trigger
Fires when

Price Drop

A product variant's price decreases.

Price Increase

A product variant's price increases.

Both triggers provide the same data to your Flow:

Field
Type

Product

Product reference

Variant ID

Text

Variant SKU

Text

Old price

Decimal

New price

Decimal

Currency

Text

Triggers fire only on genuine price changes. A brand-new variant with no prior price won't fire a trigger, and manually-added history entries never trigger a Flow. Values use your primary market's price and currency.

Prefer a no-code option? Fresh Drop Tagging does something similar built into the app, triggered by a genuine 30-day low rather than any price drop.

Example automations

  • Price Drop → add a "Sale" tag, post to a Slack channel, add the product to an "On Sale" collection, or notify your email/marketing tool.

  • Price Increase → remove a sale tag, log the change to a spreadsheet, or alert your merchandising team.

  • Combine with Flow conditions — e.g. only if New price is below €X, or only for SKUs starting with "SUM-".

Included template: "Add price drop tag for 7 days"

Omnibus Owl ships a ready-made Flow template you can enable in one click:

  1. Trigger: a price drop.

  2. Action: add the tag price-drop to the product.

  3. Wait: 7 days.

  4. Action: remove the price-drop tag.

This flags freshly-discounted products for a week — handy for merchandising and marketing — then cleans up automatically. Find it in Shopify Flow's template gallery.
