Fresh Drop Tagging

Automatically tag products that hit a genuine new low, then remove the tag after a set number of days.

Fresh Drop Tagging automatically adds a product tag when a variant's price drops below its lowest price in the last 30 days — a genuine "fresh" all-time-low for the window — and removes the tag automatically after a set number of days.

Open Tools in the app menu and turn it on from its card, or click Configure to adjust the options below. It's off by default.

Tag name

Just_Added_Sale

The tag applied to freshly-dropped products.

Remove tag after (days)

7

The tag is removed automatically after this many days (1–90).

How it works

  1. When a price drops, Omnibus Owl checks whether the new price is below the 30-day lowest for that product (primary market).

  2. If it is, the app applies your configured tag to the product.

  3. After the expiry period (default 7 days), the app removes the tag automatically.

Because it fires only on a genuine new low — not on every price change — the tag reliably marks products that are actually at their best price.

What to use it for

The tag is a normal Shopify product tag, so you can use it anywhere tags work:

  • Build an automatic "Just dropped" / "New deals" collection using a smart collection rule on the tag.

  • Highlight fresh deals in your theme, navigation, or marketing.

  • Segment products in reports and apps that read tags.

Fresh Drop Tagging is the app's built-in equivalent of the Shopify Flow "add price drop tag for 7 days" template — but it's driven by real 30-day-low detection rather than any price drop, and it doesn't require you to build a Flow.
