What each plan includes, how limits are enforced, and how to change or cancel.
Product Pelican is billed through Shopify. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice — there is no separate payment method to set up.

What the limits actually do
Product cap
The number of products Product Pelican audits and scores. On a capped plan, the catalogue is truncated to that many products and the app tells you it has done so.
Products beyond the cap are not audited, scored, or included in your store average. They are not modified either — nothing is hidden or changed in Shopify.
Image analyses
Each product photo analysed by the AI counts once against a monthly allowance, resetting on the 1st of each month. Only applies when image analysis is switched on — it is off by default.
Running out never blocks generation; it falls back to text-only output for the rest of the month.
FAQ generation
On Free, AI FAQ generation covers up to 10 products and up to 10 collections. The two are counted separately, each as "items with at least one FAQ assigned", so filling your 10 products does not use up your 10 collections. Writing FAQs by hand is unlimited on every plan.

The AI agent preview on the GEO Score page requires a paid plan. On Free the button is visible but inactive. There is no per-month cap on paid plans — each check is one request for one product, run only when you press the button.
Merchandising rulesets
Free allows one ruleset. Paid plans are unlimited.
Bulk stitching sync
Running a stitching rule across your whole catalogue requires a paid plan. On Free you can still create rules, run dry runs, and use auto-sync on publish.
Changing plans
Go to Plans, pick a plan, and confirm the charge in Shopify's approval screen. The change takes effect as soon as you approve.
To move to Free, choose the Free plan and confirm. Your subscription is cancelled and the Free caps apply. Nothing you have generated is removed — descriptions, FAQs, categories and metafields all stay on your products, because they live in your Shopify data.
Switching between monthly and annual is the same flow: pick the cadence on the plan card and confirm.
If you were billed before
If you subscribed to Product Pelican under an older price, your price does not change. Shopify cannot reprice a live subscription, so existing subscribers keep paying what they agreed to.
You do pick up the entitlements of the current tier your plan maps to — in most cases that means the same monthly price now covers considerably more products and image analyses than it originally did.
One exception worth knowing. A small number of legacy subscriptions were uncapped on product count and now map to a tier with a 3,000-product cap. If you were previously uncapped and your catalogue is larger than that, contact support — we will restore uncapped access on your account.
Cancelling
Uninstalling Product Pelican from Shopify cancels the subscription. You can also downgrade to Free from the Plans page and keep the app installed.
Everything the app wrote stays in your store either way.
